Hillbilly Music!

Try Lester Flatts & Earl Scruggs or Allison Krause and Union Station or Marshall Tucker Band. Try tuning into "that Wheeling Feeling and the Wild and Wonderful Wheeling Country Jamboree!" on WWEO AM radio. By the bye...I was a youngun in Elkins in WestbygawdVirginia!

Try:
Bela Fleck (new grass)
Allison Krause
music from Brother Where Art Thou
mmmmm, blanking on names

And if you like blue grass you might also like zydeco....cajun music with some of the same roots a zydeco but with a french/creole twist.

The music from Oh brother where art thou is so uplifting. It is always on in the car and the kids are starting to sing along. Going to a bluegrass festival Sat. here in Rhode Island. FUN!

Hi, Offspring!

Are you able to get NPR? Our local version has a Great couple of hours of bluegrass on the weekends. Perhaps you could look and see if it's online to listen to, and check their programming?

Or, perhaps email them and just ask if they have a bluegrass show, and could they tell you when. Otherwise you may not be able to find it, as the name might not indicate what it is to you. Such as ours, which is called: On the Back Porch.

Good luck, and happy listening; it's terrific music!

I started Clogging in January-dancing to bluegrass and other fast music. Don't forget Ricky Skaggs and for progressive bluegrass with a bit of everthing thrown --Nickel Creek. Chris Thile plays the mandolin. He's got to be one of the best.
