Well, Jesus mentioned chickens in Matthew 23:37 when he said, “How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,…”
So, the latest chickens could’ve been mentioned in literature is around 60 (55-65) A.D., which is when this book of the Bible was written, although they may have been recorded before that as well.
