Just a thought.. when he was mauled by the dogs did they knock his thyroid? Maybe he has hypothyroidism. If they hit his throat, might be worth a bloodtest..

I would absolutely have a vet come out and check him out. Make sure everything (besides weight) is healthy. Then ask what the best course moving forward is to get that weight off. My guess is an aggressive diet. One with the bare minimum of pig feed and zero calorie fillers like veggies.Yes they are actually measured
Ok. I wasn't serious at first. But then I felt so bad seeing my little boy look so sad and lazy...I would absolutely have a vet come out and check him out. Make that appointment. Being this obese is just as bad, if not worse, than being emaciated. I'm glad that you're serious about helping him get healthy.
I'll try to get a blood test done. All I would need is to have my mom scheduled a appointment! That's a good point. Hypothyroidism can cause extra weight gain, but it can be checked with a blood test by a vet. I think it's treatable, too.
(But I'm guessing the pig just ate too much because he is a pig.)
I'm glad that you're taking it seriously now. It is quite serious. Talk to your mom and keep us updated.I'll try to get a blood test done. All I would need is to have my mom scheduled a appointment!
