He doesn't come to his name so we would have to look for ways to get him to come to his name then try some of the things you mentionedWill he come running to get his food? Or even walking?
You could have someone take half the food, while you take the other half, and take turns calling the pig across the yard (or across his pen.) Each time he comes, the person gives him a little bit of the food. This could continue until he's had the entire meal.
Or maybe put his food inside a big plastic jar or jug, with a small hole cut in the container. He can roll it around and eat the food as it falls out the hole. (But if he just chews up the container, that will not work!)
If you don't mind him digging, maybe take something like a carrot and stick it down into the ground for him to dig out. You will have to use something he likes to eat, but that does not add a bunch of extra calories to his diet, so I don't know whether a carrot is the right thing or not.
Are you able to weigh or measure him? Is he actually losing weight?
If he is losing weight, he certainly will THINK he is starving. You just need to have him lose the weight at a rate that is healthy for him.
If he is not losing weight, you may need to feed even less.
You might want to check with a vet about how fast he should lose weight, or if he is even done growing. If he is still young and growing, he might need to just maintain his weight instead of actually losing any.
We can't do the scater feed thing cus we have grass shavings for him to eat and to use for bedding. But I can do the other recommendation!Scatter minimal feed in multiple places. Work on teaching him tricks/activities.
He will move for food and if he doesn't he either can't move or is still being way overfeed. He doesn't come to his name so we would have to look for ways to get him to come to his name then try some of the things you mentioned!
Pardon, I'm confused. And really, Moonshiner will be serious now?
Ok I might be overfeeding him... he gets breakfast, lunch, and diner. But he doesn't get as much for lunch. He will move for food and if he doesn't he either can't move or is still being way overfeed.
It doesn't have to be his name-- if he will come when you rattle the food, that works just as well. (Although of course it might be a good excuse to teach him his name.)He doesn't come to his name so we would have to look for ways to get him to come to his name then try some of the things you mentioned!

To me, you come across as light or even sarcastic, but with this easy set up you went right to the matter at hand. It threw me for a loop.Pardon, I'm confused.
