Hiya Call welcome to BYC , I am new as well been here less than a week. I have already decided that the lil bantam chickens are adorable but not for us as far as eggs are concerned. We don't eat a bunch of eggs and hunting for the eggs in my yard was difficult also with them being the lil Easter eggs it was almost impossible. lol . so I traded a very nice woman my 5 Easter eggers for 3 of the black sex links at least that is what I think they are called they are the big black hens and they lay the big brown eggs. here is hoping this will work better for us. I still want to let them free range but I have to give them time to get to know where their food is. In the mean time I am trying to build them a bit larger coop and when we have the hen house I will add it onto the coop.

That's cool! My ducks lay every where to!! It's really hard to find the nest before they sit on them to long! I just candled the 6 eggs I have and all seem to have little ducklings in them I'm very excited!!
