    Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and have been keeping chicken's just over a year now, still lots to learn and have had a huge learning curve in the last few weeks having taken on a hen that was attacked by a fox and her buddy. She's doing ok in herself, but I'm still worried about the tear in her vent, as we thought she was prolapsing because of it, poor love. She lost a huge patch of skin, approx 6 x 4" on her back and her parsons nose/tail was bitten and should have been stitched, but it was too late to do that by the time I got her.

At the moment we have 8 hens, 3 Isa browns, 3 Australorps, 1 buff orpington and 1 speckled sussex (she's the fox attack survivor).

    Cheers!

    Sara

[IMG] hope your hen heals well. There's plenty of knowledge on this site for injuries, you came to the right place!
