(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not entirely new. We raised them, when I was a kid, and I had a few for a while, back in the early 2000s. But, this is my first batch of brand new, baby chicks. They're 6weeks old, now.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They're hilarious little feathered friends with the awesome benefit of eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm a biker (I have a 2017 Harley Davidson Softail Slim S), a family herbalist, family keto-baker, and into too many different diy & craft things to count,
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Hubs and I are retired, starting our homestead (his first time, not my first rodeo), and plan on getting puppies, in November. Our beloved bunny, Lola, passed away the week before Easter, this year, and we miss her, dearly. We also have a pair of guinea pigs, whom we adore and dote on, ridiculously.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC a few years ago, when we decided to go down the homesteading path, and I started looking for ways to refresh my memory, and update my knowledge, before actually diving in, headfirst. I finally joined, because... well - we are IN it, now!
