Hmm, any educated guesses?????

My Chicks are a little over 4weeks old....some I think I know...but others I'm not sure???

Maybe it's still too early, but here are a few if you can give me your best guess on gender. TIA!!! Hoping for at least a few pullets in the mix!

Also, if you have any tips on breed that's great too as some are not pure.



1. Chubby Cheeks- EE cross- thinking Pullet??

2. Marshmallow- Splash JG- thinking Roo?

3. Rainbow-not sure of breed-pretty sure Roo

4. Violet (lft)- Blue Jersey Giant Smokey- (Rt) Blue/Splash JG - thinking roo, pullet???

5. RooRoo is what this one was named....now I'm thinking pullet??? Not sure on her cross.

6. Chocolate (lft) and Speckled (rt) GLWxEE , not sure of sex on these two????

I have a few others, but didn't get a good enough pic of them. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

As far as guess go, I think I would agree with you. As far as the last two, I would guess pullet.

Your guesses are correct, the one on the left in the last pic is a roo

Thanks Everyone!! Well, was kinda hoping I was wrong on some of the Roo's...so all of these along w/what I couldn't get pics of means out of my 10 chicks- 5 are pullets and 5 are roos.

I guess that's normal w/straight run.
