Hoarse duckling

My mallards are 3 weeks old today (2boys 2 girls) a couple days ago I noticed one of girl and one boy started to sound a little 'hoarse' when they squeak. Is it possible their 'voices' are changing? I'm new to this, I did put them in the tub so they could dip their heads (it's been cool & rainy so they haven't been outside. Not sure what to do. Thanks!

Do you keep a container deep enough for them to dunk their heads anytime they want?

Their waterer isn't deep enough for them to dunk their heads. When they start sounding 'stuffy' I've been putting them in the tub to swim awhile

I highly advise keeping a dish in there deep enough to dip their Bill's, it is not healthy for them to not constantly have access to that.

They need to be able to dunk their heads anytime they want. You can make something like this but it’s important they can stick their heads in water often it’s for their health.

Yes Mine used these until they went out at five weeks and now I have them sitting out for my four week old to use with their mama and my adults are using them. Here is another one I made too
