This young lady flew into my yard while I was outside with my own backyard flock...not ideal as far as biosecurity is concerned, but I caught her as soon as I could and currently have her quarantined in a rabbit hutch I (luckily) just put together last weekend to eventually house quail that are in the incubator as we speak (not looking forward to having to completely disinfect it now, but oh well).
She doesn’t belong to any of my immediate neighbors (none of them have chickens) so I have no idea where or how far away she came from. She may end up as part of my flock after the proper quarantining.
Trying to figure out what breed she is (if any); I’m leaning toward brown leghorn pullet or maybe a game bird/barnyard mix? Her feathering is almost identical to my Easter Egger, but Easter eggers are not themselves a breed so who knows.
Any ideas?
