Hock injury in chick?

My day old hatchling has a red, swollen hock and can't walk. It's hock resting a lot, and the leg with the swollen hock is kind of splayed out to the side. The other leg is fine. I don't know how soon after hatch it began.

Any ideas?

After having to bring it inside during a ferocious wind storm with some other chicks/chickens/turkey poults last night, it's foot turned purple overnight. I'll post some pics later, but it's foot is as if it's been starved of fresh blood. I'm so out of my league right now and have no idea what to do. Please help.
