In my opinion, and it is an opinion, it’s worth a try. I was trying to find how to fix slipped tendon. I wasn’t successful, yet...Thanks. I had that on him for 2 days and it seemed to get his legs to stay under him a lot more, but I do think it’s slipped tendon too, I both legs but I don’t know how to fix it. Believe it or not, he is somewhat trying to sit up now but he leans back on his elbows like he can’t straighten out his legs. Should I tape them straight (at his elbows?
If you straighten the legs does the chick squirm and get upset like it’s in pain? From what I remember the tendon needs put back in place then held in place.
Depending on how much time and energy you want to invest will depend on how you proceed.
I personally would be tempted to straighten the legs, tape them in place then put the chick in a sling. After that hobble the legs to keep them pulled under the chick.
As long as it can reach food and water and poop it could stay in a little chick sling for a little while.
Maybe 2 or 3 days and see how it is.
I’ll keep looking but as of now that’s my idea.
