Holding a chick and it falls asleep

When we hold baby chicks that we just got a few days ago, they sometimes fall asleep in our hands. Is this because they are comfortable, or are they playing dead, or something else?

That's normal. It's hard work growing up! I try not to handle my new chicks the first few days so that they can get plenty of sleep.
