Holding Eggs Before Incubation, and ???

I'm getting a little disappointed in Amazon. I ordered a new game camera. It came but was not the one I ordered so I set up a return and ordered another one thinking they must have just grabbed the wrong camera. The second camera came and again it was the wrong camera, not the one advertised. I returned it too. Now I'm leery of ordering. I did report it but haven't heard a thing. I included a message and a picture of the ad with the camera I ordered and a picture of the camera that was delivered twice with the returns.

Ive been a Prime member for years, and am allowing it to expire this month. Paying 120 a year for 2 day shipping, and maybe 60% of my Prime packages arrive in 2 days. My incubator is on day 6 now since I ordered it. Its been marked "out on truck for delivery" for 3 days now, so im assuming it got lost or damaged.

You can't make a female go broody. Soon it will be the season for those who may want to brood. It depends on how many eggs your incubator will hold. I have a cabinet and the racks I have will hold a total of 324 eggs. I do staggered hatches. Good luck and have fun...
I had a young, loose hen from my neighbor go broody right next to my door all through January on a clutch of about 12 eggs. Seemed odd with her age and time of year. I always assumed older hens went broody.

i used that incubator for 2 chicken and 2 quail hatch. you will want to get a 2nd thermometer to calibrate temp and an aux hygrometer (calibrated) using the turner 9 large eggs is best fit. watch humidity closely especially at lockdown and hatch. (with chickens i was adding about 1/8 c water daily until lockdown) and then as needed until hatch.
Thanks, I will pick up that gauge.

Another thing I would advise before you plug it in is to check and make sure it closes properly and there aren't any cracks. My friend's had a chip on the lip and a slight warp causing it to not to shut properly. The base had a thin crack along the edge and would leak water. Once you plug it in do a bit of sniffing and make sure it isn't giving off a weird smell. Also before you lock down remove the turning tray. Good luck!

Well, I just got a message from Amazon saying my incubator is lost or damaged and undeliverable. Going to be re ordering it in the morning unless someone knows of a better one to buy in the same 60.00 price range.

No suggestions on anything remotely close to that price range. Also mentioning that if you have large to extra large size eggs you may only get 6 to fit in the turning tray and it still function properly. You can fit more if you remove the tray and manually turn the eggs but again if they are on the larger size I wouldn't recommend going much above 9. If you do end up getting it and want more info feel free to holler.

I hand-turned 10 duck eggs in mine and 9 of them hatched. I didn’t like how the auto-turner worked and I only would have been able to fit 7 or 8. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I’m going for 18 this time, turning by hand thrice daily. Good luck!
