We had a chicken get egg bound awhile back she survived, but I think there was nerve damamge she doesn't walk well since. So she lays down a lot, my husband picked her up the other evening and there was what looked like dirt/poop stuck on her chest. So to check took her in gave her an epsom salt bath lot of it came off, then there was like this amber colored thing left. Put her back out then last night gave her another bath and it was all gone, but there is just a hole there, doesn't look like a wound.

The amber colored thing was probably a scab, a better picture of the hole now would be great.
So I looked today in better light and it looks like a healing wound. It was hard to hold her and look, normally I have my husband hold her but he isn't home.

It could have been a breast blister from lying down on the ground. Was it over her breast bone (keel?) I would use a disinfectant, such as Betadine or Chlorhexidene to clean it daily until it heals. Make sure the area where she lies down for the night, is dry and clean. Here is a link to read:

It looks better. I would keep applying Betadine daily until it heals, and have her lie on a clean towel to keep it clean. Does she roost at all? Padding roosts with old towels or carpet can help if they are irritating.
