I have gotten a few duck eggs now that look like this. They have holes in the shell, although the membrane underneath is intact. Does anyone know what it could be from?

Is it frozen?
I don't think so. It's possible it could have frozen overnight, though I don't think the ones I got previously were laid in the colder nights. And they bury their eggs under the pine shavings so they probably wouldn't freeze very easily.
