That looks like a healed injury, and I don't see any signs of infection. The biggest concern I can think of is that the puncture will make it a little more prone to a tear in the future if he gets it caught on something. Did you ever identify what they had stepped on that caused it?

Thanks Jade, yes there don't seem to be any other changes, so I think they are healed at this point. I don't really know what did it, it could've been lots of things since i've got some wild areas with sticks in the yard. Although now the one duck also has a bumble and the other duck, who has the bad knee, has a hole in each foot. Poor girls. I guess i need to do some clean-up in the yard for now and think about how I can block their access to some of the rougher areas.
