Does it matter why (she?) cares though? If it's not supposed to be happening, it's an issue with the site that (she?) is doing well to bring up. Some people also find it fun to see how many posts they have or keep track of their trophy points. Some people like to look at their reaction score and say 'hey! wow! This many people reacted positively to something I said. That makes me feel really good.' Some people like to count down posts to 5,000 because it's fun. You can't do any of these things if the count isn't accurate. It shouldn't matter why someone cares, because they do, even if you don't.

I always bake some to leave for 'Santa', and I'll probably do some closer to actual Christmas. I've never had it be a huge production, though. I don't usually do too many.
