This is an easy appetizer or a nice addition to a brunch menu. I've also taken them to the office for snack day.

Sausage Crescent Nuggets
1 lb. well seasoned bulk sausage meat (I like Jimmy Dean brand)
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 pkg. crescent roll dough
1 egg or just the white
poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 350. In skillet, brown sausage, drain well. While sausage is still warm, add cream cheese and stir until melted and creamy. Cool.
Separate dough into two rectangles. Pinch perforations to seal the dough. Form a log of the sausage/cream cheese mixture lengthwise down the center of each rectangle of dough. Fold sides of dough over, covering the sausage log. Place on an ungreased baking sheet, seam side down. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake 20 minutes at 350 until golden brown. Cool. Slice into 1/2" slices.

These can be baked, frozen, thawed, and warmed before serving.

You can sub 2 cans drained chopped mushrooms for the sausage. Add a little dried marjoram, thyme or Italian herb seasoning.

Ha! I make them to sell to the public and have a SUPER EASY, never fail recipe that is to DIE for. Take 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, remove label from can, put in boiler and fill with water til it covers the cans, boil for 3 hours, flipping cans over half way through. I remove the cans and put them in the freezer for about 15 mins, then open cans (BE CAREFUL) and spread in graham cracker pie crust. Put in fridge until completely cool then top with cool whip or reddi whip. To make it look pretty I sprinkle a little grated chocolate and a couple of chopped pecans on top. Super easy and DELICIOUS. You WILL eat this until you are sick.

This is also super easy and yummy. You can add whatever you like. Instead of bacon you can use diced ham, sausage or kilbasa. Use your imagination. Also experiment with the cheese. Pepper jack is great as well as a blue or gorganzola blue. Use what you have on hand. It is a pretty cheap recipe if you take advantage of holdiay sales and leftovers. With enough meat in it, it could really be a main dish as well. A real potluck pleaser for sure. Don't scimp on the butter. It really makes the dish. Use real butter.

Potato Casserole

Ingredients:8 tablespoon (1 stick) butter
1 small bell pepper, sliced thin
1 small onion, sliced thin
Paula Deen’s House Seasoning (to taste) -This is just a mix of pepper, salt and garlic-you can just season to taste. Fresh herbs would be good also like Rosemary or cumin or fresh garlic.
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cup mashed potatoes
1 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
4 medium potatoes, cooked
6 slices of bacon, cooked crisp

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread mashed potatoes evenly on bottom of casserole dish. Layer sour cream evenly over top. (Each time you add a layer, sprinkle on a little House seasoning.) Saute onion and bell pepper in butter; evenly layer over top of sour cream. Next, layer with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese. Slice potatoes and layer over cheese until top is completely covered with potatoes. Finally top with remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and crumble bacon over top.

Leftover mashed potatoes work wonderfully in this recipe.
