Holiday saddle feather mystery....

Well this is what we got.. he’s nosy and kept turning to look.

He's a Blue Laced Red, right? Looking at pictures, the bright red over his wings does read as cockerel. I think it might be feather damage.

He's still a baby and is still growing in his male feathers. They don't always come in symmetrical or even initially. I think he will even out. The few Wyandotte roosters I have raised were slow to mature.

I am hoping it is just odd growth.. the right down the middle divide was worrying me though.

Where and what was hawk damage?

Was the back damaged by the hawk...and at what age?
