When is summer over? Unless it's today, I probably will make that deadline! The converting a 12" block to a 7.5" block has not been without it's problems and thank you God for a seam ripper because mine is dull from all the taking out! I finally stacked my fabric and re-cut and started over with bigger pieces and had one come out a good size so I will be cutting my new pieces all off this last block I made. I haven't decided yet on the nose and eyes, maybe a satin stitch nose and button eyes and an applique mustache, sort of leaning that way but first I'll get the basic block done. It's the piecing that's making me suffer! I should have drawn it out and made it applique and I probably would have been done already, lol! The very first sample on I made is really small and was just too much trouble to be fun to make 15 more of that little piecing so I think I'll be ok with the pieces I cut last night. Might even look for some small white pom poms for a ball on his hat! Anyway, can't promise when I'll be done but it won't be very long I'm sure.
