Holly Berries.... Good For Chickens?

Glad you joined us!

Hello all,
I'm new to backyard chickens. I have two silkie bantams in their first year with us. Their home is under a holly tree. I've notice this week that the holly flowers are falling from the tree and being gobbled up every morning. They seem to love them. I haven't seen any drop off in egg production or signs of sickness/runny poos. We have had some giant poo's, but I think that might be because they are moving out of a broody phase a few weeks ago.

Do you think Holly Flowers are bad for them? It would be a vast amount of work to move them from their spot, and the tree is in our neighbours garden so I can't cut it down!
Any help appreciated,
Thanks,

Hi, the post you asked your question on is old (from 2014)...you'll have a better chance of getting an answer if you ask about the holly flowers here:Feeding & Watering Your Flock

Best of luck!
