No wonder my poor BR pullet didn't have the energy to get off the nest. This is what I pulled out from under her. And she's only been laying a week. There's no blood on it at all, and she's now cruising around like nothing happened.

And here it is next to an Extra Large store egg.

One of my WPR was singing or hollering the chicken song off and on for over 2 hrs today. She finally stopped, but I never found the egg. I don't know if it's her first time laying or not either. I got 4 eggs today, and found a nest beside the coop with an egg in it. Perhaps it was hers, or maybe she has a monster one somewhere like that... OUCH!

Holy crap! I mean egg! lol That's gotta be a double yolker! Woot, woot! Good for her...and yummy for you!

Okay this is probably a stupid question, when you have a double yoker and if it's fertilized would you get 'twin' chicks or would only one actually get fertilized?
