holy green egg batman!

WOW!!! OWWW!! If that doesn't make you go check your supply of Preparation H, I don't know what would!! Do you know which specific chicken laid this whopper? How about a photo of the Wonder Chick? Can she still walk? Maybe THAT is why chickens sometimes seem to waddle.... Lovely color too. You should have it mounted somehow to preserve such a prize production.

This looks like a comparable "bird to size of egg" view. My Cockatiel, BB (Baby Bird, or Bad Bird or Bi__$ Bird- depending on what she has pooped upon or destroyed) thinks any and all eggs should be sat upon!!

If you hatched it would it be triplets? Or John and Kate plus 8 chicks? My mind can't accept the size of that egg bomb! What a chicken!!

It was only a double yoker! I had to cook it for my son, it was his chicken that laid it, her name id Chick-a-lou-la! So when he asked to eat, I will cooked it for him, he is a very picky eater!
He can eat once a week and be fine, I swear!
If I ever get another one that big, I will try to blow it out, and save the shell! I feel for that hen too, DH said she was just fine! I hope so! I bet she will lay again in a few days, wouldn't blame her if she didn't for awhile! She lays every other day as it is!

In The UK, an egg weighed in at 194 grammes, or about 7oz. The family have written to Guinness to see if it is a record breaker, but have since learned that the biggest ever recorded was an egg-tastic 340grams, from an English hen in 1896.
