Holy Huge Egg!

I'm sure others have gotten one this big but, I was shocked when I saw it. I had to clean it off because it had a fair amount of blood on it.




Here is another pic of it. On the right is the smallest egg I've gotten (I think a first egg from my sour crop girl), in the middle an "average" sized egg then the gianormous on on the right

Not positive but, I think one of my black sex linked. I know that at least one of them lay double yolk eggs regularly.

Yep my golden sex link layed this monster couldn't get the carton to close!! she was 24 weeks old and I saw it happen!! she usually chatters at me if she's in the nest box when i do morning chores, that morning I heard a strange chatter groan and out she popped to go eat her crumbles, when I was done and heading into the house I saw this in the nest box!!

this was another Pullet's first so cute!!

Surprisingly the monster egg didn't have any blood on it, and the hen was peppy right afterwards, I have seen blood on my RIR'S first few eggs, she is a small hen and lays fairly large eggs so far. That is one HUGE EGG!!!!
