I hope you were using the zoom on the camera. Those critters can get nasty real quick. Notice those teeth...they can be dangerous and give very nasty bites. Do be careful.
Put some cat food out for them on the opposite side of the property from your chickens and feed them nightly unless you plan on disposing of them.

That was my inexpensive HP digital camera and I would guess he was about 5 feet back under the shed when I got that nose shot, lol! All I saw of the other one was backside and tail further back under the shed. Didin't see them last night course again with all the dirt hills under the shed the rats have dug and the decon bodies everywhere, they could have been under there. I put a plate of cat food under there and it is still full. I guess they could eat the decon and die like the rats and I'm sorry about that but I nearly have my rat problem under control thank goodness so sacrificial possums it will have to be if they eat it..course if some of those cute babies come crawling out from under there my heart will melt..my husband will kill me but I will be keeping them!!! lol!
