i just saw this auction on ebay, they are from bayhorsebonne, who has great lines, and i just couldnt BELIEVE how dark these eggs are!!! i am thinking of making the drive to pick up some chicks from her in the spring, but man oh man, thsoe babies are beautiful

Those are nice, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a pic of the eggs you're actually getting.

Wow, those are GORGEOUS!!! Make sure you get a comparison to the egg color chart for how light the eggs get. I've been reading on here and a good breed specimen will lay eggs that are a 5, 6, or 7 on the color chart during their lightest laying cycle....At least I think that's what the numbers were, u might want to check first. I don't have any so I don't remember exactly, but make sure if you're considering this buy!!!!

i know those arent the eggs for sale, she states they were laid at the very beginning of a cycle. i am not getting black coppers either, i like the wheatons better, and i know they do not lay as dark, i was just trying to show you guys the beautymous eggs! *inlove*

the other pic is at the very bottom of the page and it's about 6 eggs with writing on them.

ETA: not quite the bottom, it's right above the shipping and handling info....almost to the bottom. There is a cluster of three pics on the right, and a large pic the same as the auction pic in the middle. Click on the pic with the eggs with markings on them, and u'll see what the auction is really selling. They may be reputable, I have no clue, but for that much money I'd be making darn sure!!!!

I love the idea of offering to incubate the eggs and shipping the chicks for an additional $15.00. That's an awesome idea.

However, the birds pictured don't look exactly Black Copper. One hen did but the others are just...different. And the roo looks different from Black Coppers I've seen too.

I don't know but, they look to be milk chocolate easter eggs. In the 1st pic there seems to be a seam like they were made in a mold.

That is out ragous enough for me, but at least I will have live birds.

Spending over $25 for 6 eggs is just something I could not do. Good luck to you!! I hope they all hatch!!
