That is what my 3 kids where yelling when they saw our sweet little RIR running away with something big in her beak-followed by 12 of her closest hen buddies! After some following, sneaking behind bushes and under stuff, my 9 yr old daughter yells "OOHHH GROSS! Red is eating a frog! A big green one!

I had just tilled the garden, pulled weeds from the strawberries, which they just about pushed my hand away any time one of them spied a grub, bug, spider. What good babes, eating all those nasty bugs for mommy!

I love it when my chickens eat bugs and little animals from around the house. Just yesterday, they found a little snake, 'bout eight inches. They loved it. It's hilarious to see the 'chicken keepaway' games that ensue.
