I built this coop about 6 months ago I like it . Its around 360 sq ft three sided coop. Its so hot here you gotta have three sided coops. I'll probably never find out what happened to my girl because I messed up & put her body in the freezer. I told the lady at the vets office what I was doing & she never told me to not freeze it. The vet told me you shouldn't have froze it. Well , I took him some fecal samples though. He didn't think she got sick from cocci. He thinks it was some type of bacteria.Probably, a weak gene in the flock is my guess. Guess, I'll find out if they have worms though.
The rain situation is better than last year thats for sure my gardens did super. Seems you can never get enough rain where I am the ground is like being at the beach & the water just goes straight through it. I got my fall garden planted so hopefully will get rain & I can sell some veggies, eat some & feed the birds through the winter. Thats the plan anyway. Planted a lot of broccli, greens, kale, carrotts & more.
I guess yall got the drought this year right? I think droughts are something the good lord has to kill off the plague are somthing that could harm us or the wildlife who knows. Take care & keep an eye out for your flocks. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I drudged through it & worried all night about my flocks.
