"Each humanoid has a bracelet on their wrist. If they get too close to the vehicle, let's say 20 feet, then the bracelet will quickly shock them and they'll go on their way since the vehicle is actually probably not worth it. They're very smart, so usually around the second time of being shocked they just avoid vehicles in general." Thomas quickly explained to her.
"Though the shocking doesn't hurt them. It's just unpleasant. And, like humans, they like to avoid unpleasant things."
"Well isn't that clever," Janette grinned. She straightened and put her hand on her hip. "I suppose all my pennies went into creating that as well," she chuckled.

Thomas scratched the back of his head. "Well, uh, yes. But it is worth it, isn't it? The power we both have is incomprehensible." He told her, sounding rather excited.

"Uh huh, it is," Janette agreed, not exactly sounding enthusiastic. She took a step closer to him. "But what happens to us? Sure, we'll be ensuring that mankind survives your so-called apocalypse, but what will we get out of it if every human as they're known now is dead?" She made sure to stress the last word. She wasn't at all having doubts about helping him, she just wanted to make sure he had a real plan, and that she got what she thought she was getting out of this.

"Well, I'm very close to being able to shut down the human body for as long as I want. With the right materials, I can make a human fall asleep and stop aging and lose the ability to get ill until I wake them up, which can be whenever I want. So I will select a few people, including myself, that agree to do this and we will fall asleep until many years after the human race has ended. We will wake up, good as new, and start the world again." Thomas explained to her simply. "I'll also be doing this to the humanoids, so they of course survive."

Janette, still skeptical, asked, "So you intend for a few select humans to live in harmony with your vicious humanoids?" Now she wasn't entirely convinced he had thought things out.

"The humanoids are only vicious because of their lack of territory. They want more space, and therefore are very aggressive when it comes to keeping what they already have. Once I release them and they have more space to make a community, they will be more willing to interact with humans if we show them we aren't a threat. Which will be very simple." He was able to tell that Janette was very skeptical about all of this.
"Trust me, I'm not just hoping that this will work out. I wouldn't have done all of this if I wasn't certain. I wouldn't have made so many humanoids, I wouldn't have even kept this place. But I know that this can work, and I'm not throwing a bunch of people into complete chaos." Thomas reassured her.

Janette leaned against the edge of the desk and nodded in understanding. Now that he had explained the humanoids, things made more sense. Now on to the next subject. "Well thank you for answering my questions. But, I've got a few more, so bear with me here," she said. "This virus that you have created. Where have you been developing it? Surely not in the room where the nurse's medicine stock is kept, otherwise I think someone would of asked more questions."

Thomas looked at a door that was to the right of his office. "That's where I've been developing the virus. That is where I do any tests for making medicine, and I have the only key to it." He told her.
"Though I can't really say it is a virus, because it can't be spread to other humans and such. I have to inject it, for it to actually do anything. Or else, I would definitely not be human."

"Virus in one room, humanoid in the other. How do you even feel safe in here?" Janette chuckled. "Next question: how do you choose who your next 'patient' will be?" She asked. However, she didn't expect him to really answer this one.

"Depends on what the experiment is." He replied simply.
