Home page is stuck again

We believe the problem may be related to the server trying to update the status on SUPER long threads.   If that is the cause, we may have to close existing "super threads" (ones with over 50k  posts) and start new ones.

Mine actually wasn't changing at all, and threads that were high postings: Example the silkie thread - were still on my profile, and kept updating. It just wasn't moving up the list if I posted a new thread - it wouldn't even be on my profile page until I went up to Forum "I've Posted".

It looks like it is unstuck now, but thanks for keeping us posted. This is actually a problem the engineers are digging into and hope to have a fix in place. It seems to fix itself over time, but we definitely want to find the cause and get it resolved.

Please keep us posted if you see it happening again.

Restoring the defaults w/in IE9 eliminated the font-related crashes (but not the cause of 'em ~'-)

Visited again w/ default settings, save for disabling compatibility view (and autorecovering from layout errors) and enabling script debugging ...
