Homeade cabinet incubator temp fluctuation

Put it in a ziploc bag first. Here's something I wrote up for another thread.
And is that the way cabinet bators work? With the thermostat heating up then kicking off and cooling down 2 degrees then kicking on again? I've never had one so I don't know..it panicks me cuz it's not at the same exact temp all the time like my 360 is lol

Oh my gosh I feel really smart😂Ziploc bad duh!!!! Thank u for that lol!!! I can't believe I never thought of that!
No worries 😂

I don't know. The temp should be a steady 99.5. The hen would only get up once or twice a day when the temp would change. I've never had one. Hopefully someone else can answer that question.

Keep in mind that the interior of the egg- the area you're most concerned about- is going to lag behind the air temperature. The air heats up and cools down much faster than the eggs- you can test this by putting a thermometer in a piece of putty or even better one of those squidgy water tube things, arg whats the name for them.

Water wiggler!!!!!! Ok cuz my govee says the average temp is 99.4-101.2.. it varys throughout the day...As long as it doesn't drop below 99 or above 102 will the eggs be fine?

And I have a water wiggler that will be here tomorrow so I can test it that way and also a mercury/alcohol thermometer and a scale to measure there weight loss!!!

Okay you guys so I made a water wiggler out of a Ziploc bag and I put it in a cup and my food thermometer came in the mail today and I calibrated it and it worked amazing!!!so I put it in the water wiggler and put it in the incubator for about 8 hours and when I went and checked it it red between 99 and 100!!!! You guys I am so so very happy that the temperature of the egg is correct!!!
