Homegrown Sprouts for Girls...a BUST?!?

I bought some sprouts for my girls to grow a few weeks ago. I've been growing them and was so excited to feed them some today

Yeah, well they were a complete bust

They all came rushing out, excited for their treats. They all took a few pecks @ some leftover seeds and that was it. They are so weird

My girls also hate scratch...what chicken hates scratch?

Your chickens and mine must be related! Everyone here said their chickens loved popcorn, so I popped some just for my hens and took them out to the coop. They acted like I was throwing rocks at them. Ya just never know what they're going to think about a new treat. Maybe they'll get used to the sprouts? You'd think that they would love them, the way they go through our gardens!

I have 24 week old SILKIES and for the alfalfa sprout some of the flock eat it out of hand,the wheat berries those that accept it eat only the berry part leaving the green grass out of hand and on floor of run,the lentils 2 of the flock who will eat it, eat it without any food fetishes....................I am forever amazed about chickens in general!
