Homegrown Sweet Potatoes - how will I know when to harvest?

This is my first time planting sweet potatoes.
How do I know when they are ready to pick?

Can I pick them like B-size potatoes?

Great question. This is my first year growing any type of potato so I'm curious as well.

We wait until just before frost to dig ours... that way you have some really nice ones and still have smaller baking size. If you wait and let frost kill the vines it ruins the potato.
