Hey there! I could use some help/advice. I am planning on joining in on the Easter Hatch-a-Long this year. My only problem is the fact that I have school, so I won't be able to turn the eggs during the day. I am getting my duck eggs tomorrow (March 19th) and will set them on the 22nd. I can't buy an egg turner because of the cost and the standard sized ones won't fit in my homemade incubator.
I've already started construction on the turner, and it's almost done. I've built a base for the turner to move on, built the motor, mounted it on the inside of the incubator, built a tray for the eggs to sit on that will force them to move when the egg turns, and put it all together. My main problem is that I don't have a timer and I can't find one. I used to manually turner my eggs but I wouldn't turn them at night. Do you think it would be worth it to just turn the eggs at night and not during the day? Just switch it around? I'm really stuck and really upset, I've been looking forward to this for such a long time and I don't have a enough money to spend on the right parts.. Please help :(

I'll post pictures soon!

Same here. Turning twice a day is fine the temp and humidity is more important.
