Good day all, I was wondering if anyone had built a homemade egg turner. My kids and I a building a homemade incubator and I was wanting to incorporate an egg turner. I was thinking of using a BBQ rotisserie motor with some microswitches. I have an idea but I don't know how to make it work. Any suggestions would be helpful. I know I could buy one but I would rather build one.

I've read on here of some folks who put a 2x4 under one end of the bator then switch it around to the other end two or three times a day. This lifts the one end then the other, back and forth, much like a mechanical turner.

As an idea. Basically have a bunch of slats that eggs can fit between, then have the motor move the set of slats back and fourth to turn the eggs... Uh.. not sure else how to describe it. The thing should cause the eggs to roll on their sides.
