Hey!!!We have the same house! Except mine has an addition and a deck instead of a porch (Which we hope to change back into a porch).

I'm curious about your floor plan...Could you PM me so we're not thread jacking

Thanks all! OMG that is awesome! I have to run out but I'll definitely take pics tomorrow - Erin needs them anyway. Mine's over 130 years old and one of the original homes built in my town. I had it sided a few years ago but tried to stick close to the original color (and yellow is my favorite!)

When I bought it, it was totally redone by the contractor that had bought it from the family of the original owners. I don't know what the original floor plan was but when you walk in the front door, you're in the living room which goes to the right. The den is to the left (facing the front of the house) and the kitchen is in the back (bathroom off the kitchen). There's also a side porch (off the kitchen) and a back porch (off the living room). Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a master bath. Pics tomorrow - promise!!

Yes, she sure does do beautiful work!!! As promised, here's some pics I just took today. The pine trees are gone and when I had the house sided, they never came back to put the shutters on. I never paid them for the new gutters

so I called it even.

Sorry about all the weeds; was too busy cleaning the chicken coop this weekend to weed and the Japanese beetles have devoured my flowers

Front view - all of the windows are almost floor to ceiling:

And the side view of my porch off the kitchen. We call this our "milkman porch" because that's where they used to leave the milk (no, I wasn't around then LOL):

Erin, if you need close-ups or better shots just let me know. I really like the way it used to look with the pine tree and the shutters. The trees had to go before they fell on the house

That 1st pic will work perfectly. I grew up in a civil war era farmhouse. We had HUGE sugar maples the whole way around. They did this to help keep the house cool in the Summer since there was no such thing as CAC

Anyways, storms and age had torn a bunch down. I keep getting on Dad to re-plant so, by the time Im there,

they will be big and beautiful again.. Just maybe plant them a bit farther from the house than they used to because what helps in the Summer, hurts when it's wet for a while outside as mildew can build and also it's dangerous if high winds take out branches that are over your roof.

Here's my homestead. ....it's the best pic I have on my PC. You can see one of THE trees on the right. That hole in it grows every year so, I am sure, its time is growing near.
