That's the beauty of barnwood. It's been out for a hundred+ years.. it'll be just fine

and no need to paint or seal. If you wanted to repaint the white parts every couple years to keep them, you can but I like that to weather too.. and the hardware.. it'll get nicer once it gets a patina on it.

MustBeLosingIt, here is your sketch. I also posted pics of the hens in grayscale.. they always look a bit better with some detail and a thousand times better!! when painted. If you'd like the sun small or taller or the rays straight or whatever, just pm me and we can change things easily. I have each segment saved seperately on my hard drive so we can edit easily.

I will send you a list of font options but would like to know what you're interested in... fancy, rustic, etc... you know the drill

I thought some sort of cursive would look really look good but maybe not as fancy as the one that's there now... Let me look through some fonts and find a really nice one and I'll post again with that and one with Man Cave font for you to choose from.

Either one of these would work well.

OK!! I'll start on it today. This one is going to be a bit bigger and I'll need to combine two boards to make the width. The two pieces will be from the same board so it will match perfectly. It will have a similar look to the Solsken Farms sign. ...a tiny seam but no worries, it will turn out great!

Here's The Chick Inn. I think this one really pops. Your hubby might be jealous.

The silkie does have raspberry coloring in her comb but it's hard to tell in the pic. I'll touch it up again so you can tell.
