Beekissed thanks for the recipe I can't wait to get some epsom salts and try it out.
This isn't a bath item or remedy but for awhile I was buying a locally made laundry powder, one day I looked at the ingredients and all it was, was, baking soda, borax and castile soap.
I'd been using it for awhile and it worked well but was kind of pricey especially once I paid attention and saw what was in it so off to google and I'm not so sure what site I got the recipe from but it had all kinds of home made cleaning, beauty and general tips I'll see if I can fid the site again, anyway, I now have a new batch of laundry detergent for a quarter or less of what I used to spend
Homemade Laundry Powder
2c finely grated castile soap(Fels Naptha,Kirks)
1c Borax
1c washing soda (baking soda)
Mix all
If you want add some essential oil a drop or two at a time shake well
Use 1/8 c or 2 Tbls per load
I use a film container to measure
I always use white vinegar in my rinse cycle and I buy lavender by the pound and fill a sock with lavender (about 1 1/2 or 2 c) and throw it in the dryer when I fluff my line dried clothes smells great and lasts quite awhile.
