We are making a homemade bator out of a cooler, got the light, thermostat, fan etc. it is all set up and running, but my question is....since I have the fan do I still need to put in the vent holes at the bottom for good air circulation, or is that only in still air that it is needed to be done. If I need to put them in, how many should I put in and how big should they be?

I put a total of four holes in mine for vents. I have hatched about 4 dozen out of my cooler and usually leave atleast one open all the time. That way fresh air can get in. It took awhile to balance the humidity out but it seems to work good.

The holes are about 1/2 inch and I can cover them up with a piece of duct tape if needed.
the holes are two per side one high the other low
