The cooler I got came from a medical testing lab. They give them away on craigslist around here a couple times a month. They are over 2 inches thick and hold the heat really well. A 25w bulb is all I needed with a water heater thermostat to keep it in the target range.
So I went on a little shopping spree at Wal-Mart and Home Depot...
Now I just need to get the fan from the computer tower. And build up the guts to go the electrical thing myself...(I don't want to ask my husband to do it for me, lol)
I have a piece of glass I took from my mother-in-laws how yesterday that she was going to throw away and it'll work perfect in the top of the cooler...I had a choice in coolers so I went with the more expensive one, seems more sturdy, it was $7 at Walmart. I need to get a couple more bulb thermometers but geeze, the smaller ones are hard ti find...I don't want a huge one!

This light kit, or something similar, mounts nicely inside the cooler. Just my 2 cents from building my own. BTW my first set of eggs in this bator are hatching as we speak
