Homemade candeler?

My candler consists of a lamp w/ the twirly light in it and a box with a whole in the side and bottom. I only candle at night with all lights out and the family loves to see.

Too bad we don't have one. I have a flood light that sounds like w/a box will work. Thanks. Feel free to keep adding ideas, i sure this is helping more people than just me!

I accidently got the perfect candler. Its a rechargeable flashlight called a LED Halogen by Brinkman. It has a big halogen and a small LED. The LED is just the right size for candling an egg and is so strong I could see every vein and we had a ball watching the little chick moving around.

It cost about $20 at KMart.

PS, with this flashlight you don't need a box or anything. The light is only 1 inch across and has a well just under 1/2 inch that the egg fits in very nicely to catch all the light.
