Homemade electrolyte mix?

I've been having really high temperatures lately, and im currently looking after a chicken with fly strike and canker, and i was recommended we give them electrolytes. Because i can't buy any right now, i googled how to make a homemade electrolyte mix but every website i go to has different recipes so im not sure which one to use. Does anyone here have any recommendations or recipes?
I'm planning on making 1 litre of the electrolyte mix.

The one I like is 1 quart of water, 1 tsp of sugar, a pinch of salt, and (optional) 1 tiny pinch of salt substitute. You can also use Gatorade or Pedialyte, but make sure there is some glucose or sugar in it.
