Homemade GUMP Bread - best I've found! **New pics added on pg. 5**

I buy my flour (Winona brand) from the bulk food store (Amish/Mennonite) and store it in food grade 5 gal buckets..I also buy my yeast bulk..most items are cheaper..some not..like sugar.

Walkerkm..there might be a Mennonite bulk food source on the internet..I don't think there would be an Amish one..?? Do you have any communities near you?

Just made this bread last nite. Very easy, and my husband loved it. I'm curious, gumpsgirl, what does the name "Gump" mean? Is it a family name?
 
After all of the posts about this recipe, I had to try it. Turned out great, especially when made into toast with my mom's homemade mayhaw jelly. The hardest part of the recipe was waiting 10 minutes for the bread to cool. I'll be making more soon! Thanks GumpsGirl!
