Homemade Incubator: Finished!!!!*PICS ADDED!!!!!*

And when I start incubating the eggs, they will be in that turner until about day 18, then I will slide the turner out(i made it so it's removable) and I will place the eggs on the bottom, where the wire is placed over a bowl(that will have some water in it) and I covered the wire with table-top liner stuff, so the chicks are more comfortable.

And I don't have to worry about temp. changes, because the case/PC fan will help to make the entire bator filled with the same temp.(it won't be cooler in bottom and hotter up top)

I love my styrobator..It is the best hatcher ever. It holds the best Humidity and temp of any bator I own.

Cant wait to hear how your first hatch goes!

Do you have a thermostat in it??? If not, I would highly recommend a wafer thermostat. Much easier to keep temps steady. Ever since I switched mine to a wafer I haven't had to worry about my temps.

Thanks erin. Ya we don't have a thermostat but we were thinking about getting one.

Where can we get a wafer thermostat and how would we hook it up?(as you can see, I didn't use a lamp kit, so I can't hook the thermostat up to the light, like a lot of people do. I used one of those landscape lights that have the pointy thingy on it that you stick in the ground, but I took the pointy part off and put a bulb in and it works fine.)
