Im down to the last 2 and 1/2 days, I increased the humidity in my incubator and opened a vent hole last night and all hell broke loose. The temperature became very erratic and the humidity shot way up! I was up all night watching and trying to correct it without opening the lid. Am I going to lose all my eggs in the last two days? or have I lost them already? The temperature is having trouble reaching 99 and the humidity is WAY TOO HIGH. HELP

Did you have an auto turner.. the little motor on that will raise the temps.. I found for the hatches when I take that out.. my temps drop by a degree or too.. have to re adjust.. and Also with that.. found when my humidity is way high, (85%) then my temps are hard to get back up.. The 2 hatches I had like that were successful though .. so open it up and try to get some of the water out.. as well as raise the temp little by little.. Good luck..

The humidity is 98 % and the temp is at 97 now. don't think I have any pips and I was hand turning the eggs. no fans or anything like that inside. I have been worried about the temperature all night. The only way to really reset the humidity at this point is to take the eggs out. I'll do what I need to but I dont want to make any fatal mistakes at such a critical stage. Doesn't help that this is my first hatch in a completely homemade incubator. The incubator isnt a small one but I honestly wonder how low the temperature can drop before my chicken people can't survive anymore
