So far I'm just waiting for the next time my mom is going shopping so i can get the lamp kit or just a porcelain light socket with lamp cord, and thermostat. Once I get these things, i will somehow hook them up and see how it works.

As I said the porcelain socket would be your best bet, since it flush mounts. The lamp kit is designed to fit, well, in a lamp. So it would take more work to get it to fit in place in the incubator.
