What do you guys think about wax paper on top of wire so their feet dont get caught up in it?? Is wax paper bad for them? Or the heat?

So... Wondering about a puppy piddle pad... But in clueless, since this will be my first attempt. Do you not have to add water after lockdown? And if the bottom is covered, how would the water permeate anyway?

I did this so I could fill the whole bottom with water

I like the idea of the saran wrap .but i thought you need air flow from the holes on the bottom for proper air flow to hatch efficently...
