OH YES!!!! you must have vent holes in it. The eggs breath by allowing O2 to enter the pores. During hatching those little chickies are doing a lot of work moving, pipping, zipping, drying, looking cute. They will use up a lot of oxygen. Take a #2 pencil and poke a couple of holes about an inch from the bottom, and a couple in the top. Don't wallow out the holes, but let them still fit tightly around the pencil. This a way if you need to raise humidity little, you can insert the pencil into the holes. But do leave a couple open at all times.
