I have a styrofoam incubator that doesnt have any vent holes in it. I will be going into lockdown tomorrow.Do I need to make some holes in it for the hatching? If so, why and how big? My temps and humidity have been steady...Thanks in advance for answers!

OH YES!!!! you must have vent holes in it. The eggs breath by allowing O2 to enter the pores. During hatching those little chickies are doing a lot of work moving, pipping, zipping, drying, looking cute. They will use up a lot of oxygen. Take a #2 pencil and poke a couple of holes about an inch from the bottom, and a couple in the top. Don't wallow out the holes, but let them still fit tightly around the pencil. This a way if you need to raise humidity little, you can insert the pencil into the holes. But do leave a couple open at all times.
